Devil May Cry at E3? "Maybe, we’ll see," says Capcom

Capcom’s adopting a “wait and see” approach in regards to whether or not the firm plans on showcasing Ninja Theory’s Devil May Cry reboot at E3 next month.

The flashy actioner hasn’t been seen since its unveiling at the Tokyo Game Show last year, though Capcom’s hinted that there’s a chance it may show its face at the Los Angeles-based shindig in early June.

Speaking during a Q&A live-stream session this week, Capcom’s Christian Svensson teased, “Maybe, we’ll see,” adding, “you’re going have to wait and see.”

Elsewhere, Svensson played down hopes of seeing any megaton announcements from the publisher at E3, observing the majority of its big guns were unveiled at Captivate back in April. The gist of it all? Keep your expectations in line, says Svensson.

“We’d like to probably keep our E3 plans a bit closer to the vest,” he said.

“I don’t know that we’ll be shocking anyone with what we’re talking about at E3. Most of our major announcements were made at Captivate. There’ll be some light shed on things that we previously announced that we didn’t show much of at Captivate, updates for some things we did show at Captivate.”

“But keep your expectations in check and everyone will probably come out happy. That doesn’t mean that we won’t have more things to talk about in the not so distant future, just to set expectations.”

Lastly, Svensson remained tight-lipped as to whether or not Capcom is planning on throwing any celebrations for Devil May Cry’s 10th anniversary later this year.

Fingers crossed, eh folks?
